About this speaker

Jeremiah Washburn is the defensive ends/outside linebackers coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he has played a pivotal role in developing one of the NFL’s most productive pass rush units. A key contributor to the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX victory in 2024, Washburn helped guide a defense that ranked No. 1 in total yards allowed. His edge group produced standout performances from Josh Sweat and Nolan Smith, who combined for 12.5 regular season sacks and historic playoff production.

Washburn was instrumental in Philadelphia’s 2022 Super Bowl LVII run, when the defense totaled 70 sacks—the third-most in NFL history—and became the first team to feature four players with double-digit sacks. That year, Haason Reddick earned second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors with 16 sacks and a league-best five forced fumbles.

Since joining the Eagles in 2019, Washburn has also coached in senior defensive assistant and advanced projects roles. Before transitioning to defense, he spent nearly a decade coaching offensive line units with the Lions, Dolphins, and Bears. Washburn’s NFL foundation began in personnel with the Ravens and Panthers, giving him a rare dual-background in scouting and coaching that informs his player development and schematic expertise.
